Volunteers Make It Possible

Whether you are a student needing to fulfill your volunteer hours or just a good-hearted individual with extra time or skills that you want to donate to a good cause, you've found the right place. The heart of OBK is volunteers like you. No matter what stage of life or age, you're always welcome here.

Have you volunteered with us before?

What do our volunteers do?

Volunteers help with a wide range of kitchen activities. You may be asked to do some cleaning, washing, chopping / preparing fruits and vegetables, sorting, packaging and labeling, setting up kitchen areas, and food distribution. Depending on the day, the tasks can vary, however usually it's structured around an event at OBK. There are also regular volunteer events for those who are able to offer more consistent help.

Volunteering feels good.

Volunteering at OBK was fun, easy and I felt like I was really making a difference.

Everyone in the kitchen was very welcoming and created a warm and fun environment, and there was lots to do from the first hour I got there. The process to sign up online is straightforward and easy, and you can see which days the kitchen needs help which means your time is always well spent.
Hope to see you again soon and best of luck till then, sounds like you're very busy at the moment!
